European Markets open lower

The pan-European Stoxx 600 inched lower on the open of the European session on Tuesday. Investors await latest corporate earnings and digest weekend’s cyberattacks.

Euro Stooxx moved slightly lower on the open, 0.16 percent lower compared to yesterday’s close along with other main bourses trading in red. Today we have corporate earnings for EasyJet, Primer Foods showing their reports for the first three months of the year.

On the political front, Emmanuel Macron’s agenda, on its first day in the office as a French President, met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. German Prime Minister expressed a openness for changes to secure the future of the European Union. They both stated that Macron’s victory in French election could revive relationship between the countries as a vital force for European ties.
